After a great start last September. 1st Whittingham Scout Group now has a lively Beaver Colony with a strong leadership team and plenty of equipment. However we have many children wanting to move up to cubs!
Cubs are girls and boys aged 8-10½
We need a Cub Leader! There is a full training programme and support network available to you. No scouting experience is required. The Group has several people who can help get the Pack started, plan a programme and come along to meetings to assist and build your confidence. You also have 3 Assistant Leaders.
If you have enthusiasm, drive and a keen interest in the outdoors, please call Clive Gray (Group Scout Leader) or Ninette Edwards (Beaver Scout Leader) 01665 574733.
Take a look at our website to see what the Beavers have been up to, and to get a link to the Scoutbase website for more information on the Scouting Movement. Please pass our plea on to anyone who may be interested in this role.

Since upgrading our qualifications the ambulance service have called the first responders out to 7 emergencies in the local area.
We carry oxygen as well as defibrillators and we are emergency first-aid trained. If you do need to call out the ambulance, and you wish us to attend as well, do remind / ask the ambulance service to call us out as well. You don't have to make another phone call the ambulance service will do that, but due to the fact that we are all local, the aim is that we can be on scene straight away.
